Optos Scanner – Ultra Wide Angle Technology
The patented Optos Ultra Wide Angle Laser Scanning Technlogy produces high-resolution digital images of the retina, making the early detection, documentation and treatment of ocular pathologies and systemic diseases. The Optos is unmatched in displaying floaters.
A single, quick take produces a view of about 200° (ca 82%) of the retina. Compared to this, conventional methods only show 45° of the retina in one take.
This technology was developed to protect people against visual handicaps, blindness, or as well severe diseases like diabetes, cancer, stroke, or heart failures.
